Israel Ranked No. 3 Most Innovative Nation in the World

Don't take our word for it. The World Economic Forum this month ranked Israel No. 3 in innovation in its Global Competitiveness Index for 2014-2015. Only Finland and Switzerland ranked ahead of Israel in Innovation. The United States, home to Silicon Valley, was ranked No. 5. The World Economic Forum evaluated 144 of the world’s economies on various measures of innovation – including the quality of scientific research institutions and spending on R&D – to produce its ranking. According to the World Economic Forum, Israel's GDP per capita has been climbing. The nation's innovation strength, as it relates to global competitiveness, appears to come from its educational system. It is ranked near the top in "health and primary education."
