Managing Director and Regional Executive, BNY Mellon Global Client ManagementChristopher F. Porter is The Bank of New York Mellon’s Regional Executive for Germany, Switzerland, Central & Southeastern Europe (CEE) and Israel, also serving as Client Executive to the firm’s largest and most complex clients in the region, as well as the German marketplace. In this capacity, he drives overall strategic development and accelerates the company's growth across all of BNY Mellon’s core businesses.
He performs numerous governance and leadership roles in the firm, including his role as Board Member of BNY Mellon Frankfurt’s US Branch, Member of the German Leadership Committee, and Israel Innovation Steering Council. In numerous capacities, he is a member of the broader BNY Mellon Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional leadership team, including his roles as a member of the EMEA Operating Council, EMEA Revenue Council, and Head of the Swiss Management Council.
Christopher began his career in 1998 with The Bank of New York’s Wall Street Head Office as a Relationship Manager on the Europe Division’s German-Speaking Desk. He relocated to Frankfurt, Germany in 2000 to head-up Country Management for core CEE markets and relationship management for Northern German financial institutions. An expanding mandate meant appointment to Regional Executive for 12 markets of Central & Southeastern Europe, performing all functions around multi-product business & strategy development, regional governance, and risk management. This was further expanded to include his present oversight of the firm’s strategic portfolios in Germany, Switzerland, and Israel.
