Bill Gadja, Visa’s senior vice president of innovation and strategic partnerships, has confirmed that he will attend Bank Innovation Israel to speak about payments.
Bank Innovation Israel is the leading fintech event in Startup Nation, as Israel is called.
Gadja worked in the telecommunications industry before moving to Visa, giving him solid grounding in mobile commerce. His first role at Visa was global head of mobile, where he worked to leverage smartphone capabilities, such as location services, and incorporated virtual cards into the mobile experience.
Today, he manages Visa’s relationships with mobile network operators, device manufacturers and platform providers across the globe. “Mobile” Gadja said back in 2012, “will be the channel that really brings how we think about payments today all together in joined-up experience.” And further back, in 2010: “I think mobile is going to become the predominant channel for electronic payments in the next 10 years.”
